The Intention
For some of us, there comes a point when the questions are asked: What is the nature of our reality? Who am I? What is my truth in this reality?
How we answer these questions have a direct effect on our actions and choices, yet the tools that help shed light on such queries are limited. Though our consciousness seeks a wholesome expansion, our minds have been trained to ignore the need for such expansion. From such a dilemma arises the anxiety and insecurities of our time
It is in the midst of this dilemma that we attempt to try and step back, to observe and experience our consciousness and realities in a more honest and altruistic way, to embrace what it means for each of us to exist as conscious beings.
Our journey into self enquiry will help us discover previously fabled tools and ideas which we must then re-interpret for these modern times. To maintain a healthy process of self inquiry, we try to prioritise and promote a state of mind that vibrates with positive energy - one that is inclusive, compassionate, and filled with courage to stand amidst the polarised, egocentric & divisive world that also exists today.
With that thought, we will strive to understand and navigate the inner and outer so as to create a balance within our minds and bodies.
This space has been created to reflect on such ideas and translate them into art, music and writing. We believe that most philosophical and empirical conflicts we face seek not resolution, but a deeper and more balanced understanding that brings together the multiple perspectives of science, creativity and spirituality.
Altered Spaces helps create non judgemental spaces where creatives, practitioners, and curious individuals can come together to explore and work with such ideas. With Holistic & Heuristic Healing, Education, Safety & Harm Reduction at it's forefront, together, we learn to express and finally, integrate the existential dilemmas of our times.
The aim is to understand these experiences on an objective as well as a subjective level, from the perspective of the individual as well as that of the community and learn how to integrate them in healthy & constructive ways into our waking state.
